Canbury Press is to publish a gripping legal memoir by a QC who has fought some of the biggest murder trials in Britain. Under the Wig: A Lawyer’s Stories, of Murder, Guilt and Innocence will recount William Clegg’s rich experiences in the top echelon of the English criminal law over the past 40 years. Clegg is head of chambers at 2 Bedford Row — one of the top four criminal sets in London — and has fought more than 100 murder cases, more than anyone else currently practising at the English Bar. His book will deal with the murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common, the execution of Jill Dando, the trial of paratrooper Lee Clegg, Britain’s first prosecution for Nazi war crimes, and the murder of Joanne Yeates. |
