Ian Dunt’s bestselling guide to Britain’s departure from the EU is set to become the first annual book on Brexit, Canbury Press announced today (Monday 23rd October 2017).
A 2018 Edition of Brexit: What the Hell Happens Now? will come out on 31st October 2017, bringing readers up to date with fast-moving events.
Canbury Press plans to revise the book annually while Brexit dominates the headlines, producing an updated edition every 12 months. The first, for 2018, will cover the period when divorce talks between London and Brussels enter their most tense phase.
The new edition is available for pre-order this week.
Readers galvanised by its warnings about Brexit sent a copy to every MP. Most of those warnings - such as the unequal power dynamic between the UK and EU or London-based banks setting up operations in other European cities - have proved accurate since publication.
The new edition of the book (ISBN: 9780995497856) takes in the latest developments in Brexit, including the triggering of Article 50 and Theresa May’s speech in Florence.
Martin Hickman, Managing Director of Canbury Press, said: ‘For my money, Ian Dunt is the leading commentator on Brexit and his revised book is the essential briefing for anyone interested in the issue.
‘We are realistic: some parts of the book will be superseded by the fast-moving events. The value of this book, however, rests in the way it charts the landscape of Brexit. Whatever happens in 2018, Brexit will remain a tough and unforgiving country, and readers in the UK should be equipped with the facts before we journey there.
‘The last edition flew out of bookshops. I have high hopes for this one.’
